– Explain the major ways health care data is structured in pediatric health systems.
– Demonstrate the importance of having quality improvement team members that have experience in clinical informatics and analytics.
– Demystify the spectrum of resources available to collect, process, and analyze quality improvement data.
– Understand future directions of quality improvement informatics and analytics in pediatric anesthesiology.
Speakers will present quality improvement projects completed at individual institutions. Project presentations are a valuable approach to teach members about improvement work. The presentations will demonstrate tools and concepts of quality improvement, Attendees can take away knowledge and implement similar changes that lead to improvement and his/her respective institutions. The educational format used in this part includes lecture/presentation and group discussion. The final speaker will discuss basics of quality improvement data and tools for analysis to teach quality improvement providers on how to process and analyze data.
