The Congenital Cardiac Anesthesia Society, also known as CCAS, represents a subspecialty section within the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia. The section is devoted to the anesthetic care of children with congenital and acquired cardiovascular disease and adults with congenital heart disease. The overarching goal of the society is to promote excellence in the care of this unique patient population and to nurture the continued development of the subspecialty. The mission of the society is accomplished through efforts in areas such as education, research, training, promotion of quality and safety, and advocacy.
