The leadership of the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia has watched the unfolding events in Israel and Gaza with horror and dismay. We, as pediatric anesthesiologists, strive on a daily basis to protect children and preserve the lives of our vulnerable patients.
Children are innocent; the actions of adults do not make them less so. Children should never be the targets of violence, whether by terrorism, war, child abuse, or gun violence. A donation of $10,000 to Save the Children will be made by the SPA in sincere sympathy for everyone who has been affected.
