I wanted to attend the conference and to do more collaborative work with colleagues in the US.

I am a consultant pediatric anesthesiologist and early career researcher. I work as a staff specialist at the Queensland Children’s Hospital, Brisbane. I have completed a Master of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology and I am currently doing a PhD investigating behaviour change in children after general anesthesia. I am also interested in outcomes in pediatric perioperative medicine and developing better tools to measure these outcomes. Outside medicine I am married with three children, I enjoy keeping fit and I have a keen interest in film. Recently, a couple of friends and I bought and renovated an old cinema which is now open for business.
