Given the ever-changing landscape of medical education, it is important to provide innovative modalities to support trainee education. In support of this educational mission, the SPA will host a Question of the Week on its website. The Question of the Week will be a multiple-choice question that addresses keywords from the ABA’s pediatric anesthesia in-training exam. The question will be accompanied by a detailed discussion of the keyword with illustrations and diagrams, highlighting concepts critical to understanding the question stem. Previous questions will be archived in a searchable section of the SPA website and will remain accessible to SPA members.

How to Become Involved
We intend for this to be a collaborative project, soliciting interest from fellows and faculty from multiple pediatric anesthesia fellowship programs. Each submission should include a fellow and faculty mentor. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our Editorial Board at [email protected]. Our Editorial Board members will provide a list of available keywords. Once you select a keyword, you will receive guidelines on how to write an effective multiple-choice question, a standard template, examples of previously written questions, and a projected timeline for submission. An editorial team will review submissions and provide peer-reviewed feedback prior to publishing the questions on the SPA website.
