The SPA-AAP Pediatric Anesthesiology 2027 Meeting Call for Abstracts is now active on the SPA website. Please click here to start the abstract submission process.
Before you start the submission process, please review the REVISED Abstract Preparation and Submission Guidelines. And be sure to read all instructions carefully.
Please confirm that the presenting author has approval to attend the meeting BEFORE submitting your abstract(s).
If you wish to submit an abstract for the CCAS 2027 Annual Meeting or SPPM 14th Annual Meeting, please read the information about each meeting to determine the abstract types/topics that will be considered. If you submit an abstract that is not eligible for one of the meetings, it will be rejected immediately.
The abstract submission deadline is Monday, October 26, 2026 at NOON EST. No abstracts will be accepted after this date, no exceptions. Click here to start the submission process.

NOTE: ALL poster presentations will be scheduled on Saturday, March 6, 2027. All presenting authors should plan to be at the meeting through 1:00pm Eastern Time.
Attention students and residents!
Are you planning to attend SPA-AAP 2027 in the Bahamas and submitting an abstract? Consider applying for the SPA-AAP 2027 Meeting Scholarship to help cover your travel and lodging expenses.
Recipients will:
- Receive scholarship funds (Scholarships of $1000) at the conference.
- Have the opportunity to get to know a SPA member and learn more about careers in pediatric anesthesiology.
- Attend at least one trainee educational event during the conference.
- Attend the SPEARs social event
To be considered for this scholarship, you need to meet all of the following 4 criteria:
- Submit an abstract to SPA prior to applying for scholarship. All abstracts are acceptable (case reports, research projects).
- Be the presenting author of an abstract.
- Attend SPA-AAP 2027 conference in person.
- Be or become a member of SPA (free for medical students and residents).*
Please note, due to the limited numbers of scholarships, you are encouraged to submit an application at this time (prior to knowing whether your abstract is accepted).
- The deadline for abstract submission (REQUIRED) is Monday, October 26th.
- Scholarship application will close on Friday, December 11th, 2026.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified by email by December 28th, 2026.
